Summary

Print shows the waterfront buildings along the Thames River during the reign of King James 1st, with principal buildings identified on the plate, also shows some sailboats on the river, as well as a royal flotilla with many men carrying halberds. The bottom half of the plate is a continuation of the top portion, forming a panorama of the waterfront.

Caption continues: For the loan of this very curious relic the publisher is indebted to the liberality of John Dent, Esq; M.P. & F.A.S.; in whose magnificent library it is deposited. The lowermost view is the more extensively interesting as it exhibits the manner of a Royal procession by water of which it is apprehended no delineation of an earlier date is now extant.
