Three explosive ordnance disposal technicians assigned

Three explosive ordnance disposal technicians assigned to the 28th Civil Engineer Squadron hoist an unexploded ordnance during an EOD Team of the Year competition at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., Sept. 12, 2017. During this scenario, technicians had to take into account the placement of different obstacles such as ledges, walls, and door frames to ensure that the training explosive didn’t simulate detonating.
