Summary

An HH65A overflies a foreign naval vessel during training in the North Atlantic. The HH-65A is used to perform search and rescue; enforcement of laws and treaties including drug interdiction, polar ice-breaking, marine environmental protection including pollution control, and military readiness missions. The HH-65A is not able to perform water landings. Though normally stationed ashore, the HH-65A can land and take-off from 210-foot medium endurance cutter, 270-foot medium endurance cutter, and 378-foot high endurance Coast Guard Cutters.
