Trident Fury Exercise, SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
Summary
SEATTLE - Chief Greg Zerfass of the Coast Guard Cutter Alert, homeported in Astoria, Ore., hands ship's documents over to Ens. Benjamin Anderson, a member of a boarding team from the Navy vessel USS Ingraham (FFG-61), homeported in Everett, Wash., during a drill Wednesday. Ten members of the Alert's crew were hidden aboard the vessel playing the role of smugglers attempting to transport weapons and other contraband to an enemy nation as part of the Trident Fury exercise on the waters west of Vancouver Island, B.C. Trident Fury is a joint training exercise developed by Canada's Joint Task Force (Pacific) Headquarters for the purpose of building a strong working relationship between the maritime and aviation forces of the United States and Canada.
