TRZEBIEN, Poland – A Polish soldier of 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade, 11th Armoured Division, joins Sgt. Travis Connelly, tank commander with Company D, 3rd Combined Arms Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, in an M1A2 Abrams tank by in Trzebien, Poland, Aug. 2. The D Co. “Dark Knights” on a training rotation in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, conducted joint vehicle training with the Poles to gain a better understanding of each other’s capabilities. The D Co. “Dark Knights” stationed out of Fort Stewart, Ga., are currently on a training rotation in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, a U.S. led effort in Eastern Europe that demonstrates U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and enduring peace and stability in the region.
