Summary
Twenty German and two Italian prisoners of war graves receive a wreath by their respective consul generals and Lt. Col. Steven Egan, the Fort Devens garrison commander, in honor of their sacrifice to their country in a Remembrance Ceremony Oct. 19. The POW graves remain shoulder to shoulder American soldiers as a symbol of friendship to this day.
