United States Marine Corps General Joseph F. Dunford Jr., the commanding general of the International Security Assistance Force and United States Forces-Afghanistan, speaks to members of the U.S. Air Force following a USAF’s 66th birthday ceremony held at ISAF Headquarters in Kabul, Sept. 18, 2013. The annual tradition celebrates the day the USAF become a separate military service. The Air Corps became a subordinate element of the Army Air Forces on June 20, 1941.
