This untitled illustration by cartoonist Clifford Berryman, which appeared in the Washington Post on July 25, 1901, shows Rear Admiral Winfield Schley at the door of a Navy Court of Inquiry, as he seeks to clear slanderous accusations made against him in a book of Naval history written by Naval historian, Edgar Maclay.
