U.S. 5 TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Sept. 15, 2017) - An SA-330 Puma helicopter assigned to the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11) delivers supplies to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) during a replenishment-at-sea. America is the flagship for the America Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
