U.S. Air Force Senior Airman David Pennell, a pavements craftsman with the 823rd RED HORSE Squadron, is welcomed home by his daughter, Audriana, after returning home to Hurlburt Field, Fla., from a 183-day Air Force Central Command deployment, March 30, 2018. The 823rd RHS is one of four active-duty units of its kind in the Air Force. Members of RED HORSE are highly mobile and self-sufficient, and their skills are honed through construction projects for the Air Force, Department of Defense and civilian community.
