U.S. Army 2nd Lt. John H. Faris of Fort Collins, Colo., the Afghan National Army liaison for Company A, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, Task Force Bulldog, leaves the Watapur District Center following a Sept. 15 meeting between Afghan officials and International Security Assistance Forces. ISAF will provide help in a peripheral role, providing assistance at area security checkpoints and coming forward to support Afghan forces in case of insurgent attacks during the Sept. 18 elections.
