U.S. Army Col. Sean Jenkins, Task Force Currahee Commander, leads Col. Satar Khan, National Director Security for Paktika province, Paktika Gov. Moheebulah Samim, and Afghan Uniformed Police Chief Syed Shah Sarifi off a helicopter landing zone in route to a local elder meeting, Forward Operating Base Kushamond, Paktika province, Afghanistan Jan. 27, 2011. The meeting was held to discuss the loss of twenty innocent civilians killed earlier in the week by an improvised explosive device.
