description

Summary

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contractors began installing reinforced plastic sheeting on Oct. 19, 2018, as part of Operation Blue Roof for homeowners or property ownerss affected by Hurricane Michael. The launch of the program in Panama City, Fla., attracted media coverage from a local ABC affiliate, seen here interviewing USACE responder and Little Rock District Lead Resident Engineer Ben Bremer about how those eligible for the program can apply. The program, offered by FEMA, provides a temporary covering of reinforced blue plastic sheeting to help reduce further damage to property until permanent repairs can be made.
