Summary
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District has received its mission assignment from FEMA for planning and site assessments of alternate care facilities in Arizona in response to COVID-19. Our team is assisting the state with early planning, engineering and contingency response capabilities to expedite assessment and conversion of existing facilities to be ready to receive medical equipment/staff and in support of their identified health care needs. The team visited the recently decommissioned St. Luke's Medical Center March 25 in Phoenix.
