U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Borys Tsybulin, an explosive ordnance technician augmented to the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command, uses a metal detector to scan the Nam Kok river bed for possible unexploded ordnance, material evidence and life support items as U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Patrick Gallaher, a Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsman, searches beneath the surface of the water. The mission of JPAC is to achieve the fullest possible accounting of all Americans missing as a result of our nations past conflicts.
