U.S. Army Spc. Devin Creech, a native of Gallup, New Mexico, eats his Thanksgiving meal while providing overwatch at a forward operating base located in Southeastern Afghanistan, Nov. 28, 2019. Creech is an infantryman assigned to 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, based out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. These Paratroopers are currently deployed across the Task Force-Southeast area of operations. The Thanksgiving meal provided Creech and his fellow Soldiers a taste of home despite being deployed in a remote base. The U.S. Soldiers are deployed in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel and Resolute Support providing invaluable training, advising, and assisting supporting Afghan partners throughout Afghanistan.
