JEFFERSON PARISH, La.--Kayla DiBenedetto of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service carries an oiled pelican from a nesting area in Barataria Bay to a waiting boat, Saturday, June 5, 2010. The pelican was transported to a stabilization facility on Grand Isle, La., and was later taken to the Oiled Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Fort Jackson, La. Federal and state wildlife officials are working together on a daily basis to rescue birds, mammals and reptiles affected by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
