Summary

FORT BENNING, Ga. – U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Alexander Nappi (third from right), an Infantry officer, during training this year while attending Britain's Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. While in Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning in 2019, Nappi was elated when chosen to spend a year of rigorous training at Sandhurst. He started in January and finishes the year with the added distinction of having earned Sandhurst's International Award. It's given to the International Officer Cadet who achieves the best military, academic and practical scores in the class. Graduation is Dec. 11 with a ceremony known as the Sovereign's Parade. Nappi is slated to return to Fort Benning to attend the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course (IBOLC).
