U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Cornelius Meeks, (right), shakes hands with Col. John A. Bolt, the commanding officer of the 4th Marine Corps District. Meeks, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, and 2010 graduate of Webster Groves High School, was recently promoted to his current rank of corporal at the Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna, in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, Sept. 2, 2014. Meeks currently serves as the 4MCD separations clerk. As the separations clerk, he is responsible for making, obtaining, safe keeping and distributing separation packages for the district. Meeks enlisted in the Marine Corps Feb. 10, 2013. His awards include two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, a National Defense Medal.
