U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Travis Payton, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense specialist and native of Jefferson, Ga., says goodbye to his wife, Carla, and son at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., before departing to the USS Bataan (LHD 5) for an expected eight-month deployment, Feb. 7, 2014.
