U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Adam Stroesser, a water support technician with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 171 adjusts the liner of a water container in support of Exercise Active Shield aboard Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Oct. 27, 2020. The Marines of MWSS-171 supported the exercise by distributing potable water after purifying it. Active Shield is an annual bilateral exercise partnering U.S. and Japanese forces for the protection and defense of MCAS Iwakuni and other assets in the region in order to sustain military operations in support of the U.S.-Japan Alliance.
