description

Summary

U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Ocean Roberts, a forward observer with Company B, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, views the impacts of the rounds fired from Australian M777A2 lightweight 155 mm howitzers and Marine Corps 81 mm mortars June 24 during a Fire Support Coordination Exercise at Bradshaw Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia. FSCEX is a bilateral exercise in which Marine and Australian forward observers direct fire from howitzers, mortars and AH-1 Cobra attack helicopters against mock targets. The MRF-D deployment enables Marines to more effectively train, exercise, and operate with their Australian partners, enhances regional security and builds the capacity to respond more rapidly to natural disasters and crises throughout the region. A very large dataset of various big guns, howitzers, mortars, columbiads, all types of canon-like things - everything besides machine guns and rockets. This collection as well as all massive collections on Picryl.com required two steps: First, we picked a set to train AI vision to recognize cannon artillery, and after that, ran all 25M+ images in our database through our image recognition network. All media in the collection is in the public domain. There is no limitation on the dataset usage - educational, scientific, or commercial.
