U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Carl E. Mundy III, right, congratulates Maj. Gen. Daniel D. Yoo during the MARSOC change of command ceremony, Aug. 10, 2018, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C. Yoo assumes command of the Marine Raiders after a tour leading all U.S. special operations forces in the Indo-Pacfic region. He is the first Marine to command a theater special operations command and the first MARSOC commander with a previous tour with the organization.
