Joseph Hodges, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), squad leader and native of Laddonia, Mo., loads ammunition into a magazine before standing security as the amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) transits the Strait of Hormuz.
