U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, fires a M18 modular handgun system with Marines at Weapons Field Training Battalion (WFTBN) during a tour of their facilities at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Triangle, V.A., Oct. 29, 2019. The mission of WFTBN is to provide instruction to recruits in rifle marksmanship, designated Marine Corps Common Skills (MCCS), and facilitate the conduct of the Crucible in accordance with the Program of Instruction (POI) in order to support the making of the highest quality basic United States Marine.
