U.S. Marine Sgt. Lonnie Smith Jr, flight equipment technician with Heavy Helicopter Squadron 366, grips the back of a Marine's plate carrier to provide support as he engages his target on burst during a day and night quick reaction force range aboard Camp Bastion, Helmand province, Afghanistan, on Aug 19, 2014.
