ARLINGTON, Va. (Nov. 10, 2007) U.S. Marines conduct a wreath laying ceremony in honor of the 232nd Marine Corps birthday at the Marine Corps War Memorial. The sculpture of five Marines and a Navy Corpsman raising an American flag atop Mount Siribachi commemorates the 6,800 service members who died capturing the Japanese island of Iwo Jima during World War II.
