Summary
U.S. Marines participating in T-AKE 14-2 conduct a live-fire shoot with the M249 squad automatic weapon Nov. 1 on the flight deck of the USNS Sacagawea. The training familiarizes the Marines with the weapon system and improved marksmanship capabilities. T-AKE 14-2 is a maritime pre-positioned force, multi-country theater security cooperation event deployed from Okinawa aboard the USNS Sacagawea in the Asia-Pacific area of operations.
