U.S. Marines with 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade (2nd MEB) introduce themselves to Royal Moroccan Armed Forces service members during a two-week planning course as part of the initial phase of Exercise African Lion 2015 at Inzegane Military Installation, Morocco, Feb. 2, 2015. International military contingents from Morocco, U.S., Germany, United Kingdom, Tunisia, Mauritania, Senegal, Belgium and the Netherlands will participate in an Intelligence Capacity Building Workshop and Crisis Action Planning during the initial phase of Exercise African Lion 2015, the largest exercise with U.S. participation on the continent of Africa, Feb. 2-14. The exercise is conducted in accordance with U.N. mandated peace operations and is designed to strengthen cooperation and operational proficiency between the nations for future crisis and contingency response in the region.
