U.S. Marines with Company E., 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, patrol while conducting a company level attack range during a Deployment for Training (DFT) on Fort AP Hill, VA., Dec. 11, 2017. The purpose of the DFT is to incorporate all members of the battalion in training squad, platoon, company, and battalion level warfighting skills in order to sustain proficiency in core mission essential tasks for an upcoming deployment.
