Gulf of Oman (May 3, 2004) - Italy's Maestrale class frigate, ITS Scirocco (F 573) sends a Marine from its Boarding Team to set security while the remainder of his team safely boards a local cargo dhow via fast-rope to conduct a search of the vessel. The multinational Combined Task Force 150 (CTF-150) was established to monitor, inspect, board, and stop suspect shipping to pursue the war on terrorism, and includes operations currently taking place in the North Arabia Sea to support Operation Iraqi Freedom. Countries contributing to (CTF-150) currently include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Pakistan, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom and the United States.
