Hantsch, of Binghampton, N.Y., loads a syringe filled with flu vaccine for a Sailor aboard the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Topeka (SSN 754). Petty Officer Hantsch’s achievements as Topeka’s Independent Duty Corpsman have greatly contributed to the submarine, setting the standard for Pacific Fleet medical readiness.
