MIDWAY ATOLL (June 4, 2007) - Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle, addresses more than 1,500 guests, including veterans and active-duty service members, during the 65th Anniversary of the Battle of Midway commemoration ceremony held at the Battle of Midway National Memorial on Midway Atoll. Midway Atoll is located less than 150 miles east of the International Dateline and is a National Wildlife Refuge whose mission is to preserve, protect and restore the biological diversity and historic resources of the atoll.
