U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Dennis VanZuiden

U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Dennis VanZuiden salutes the American flag during a ceremony at the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 15 Battalion Aid Station, June 28, on Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan. The last time VanZuiden saluted the flag was when it was draped over his father Larry Damhoff's casket Oct. 20, 2010. VanZuiden wanted to honor his father, who was not bonded by blood, but by raising him and his brothers as if they "were his own."
