U.S. Soldiers assigned to the 1782nd Engineer Company, South Carolina National Guard, drive a convoy of construction vehicles to begin clearing a road blocked by downed trees and crushed vehicles during an exercise at Varnville, S.C., May 18, 2013. The S.C. National Guard was participating in a major North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command sponsored training exercise called Ardent Sentry.
