U.S. Soldiers from the 3rd Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment in Wahiawa, Hawaii, the 37th Field Artillery Unit in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, the 29th Brigade Engineer Battalion in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, the 47th Combat support Hospital, Tacoma, Washington, and Marines with Fox Company, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in Pendleton, California, and the Royal Thai Army participated in a jungle survival course on Feb. 27, 2019, in the Ban Dan Lan Hoi District of the Kingdom of Thailand during Exercise Cobra Gold 2020. Exercise Gold 20, in its 39 iteration, is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective responses to regional crises by bringing together multinational forces to address shared goals and security commitments in the Indo-Pacific region.
