Summary
KODIAK, Alaska - Response workers from Alaska Chadux and Coast Guard Marine Safety Detachment Kodiak work to assess damage to the Army vessel Monterrey grounded on Puffin Island in Chiniak Bay near Kodiak June 9, 2012. The Monterrey, a 174-foot landing craft, sustained damage while transiting Womens Bay June 8, began taking on water and intentionally grounded on the island to prevent the vessel from sinking.
