USFWS Burning to Benefit an Oasis (16601131169)

This area is partially managed under a federal easement through the Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The unit is an “oasis” of sorts for a large amount of game and non-game wildlife species alike. Naturally occurring plant life and man-made plantings provide food, cover and habitat enhancements in a predominately agricultural area that is generally lacking in such.
