USFWS SCA Veterans Fire Corps Visits Refuges (20131359191)

Members from the Student Conservation Association’s Veterans Fire Corps complete conservation project work on Little Pend Oreille and Turnbull National Wildlife Refuges here. While participating in the 12-week training program provided by the Student Conservation Association (SCA), and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, recent military veterans are provided environmental education, service learning opportunities, and wildland fire training on Inland Northwest and Mid-Columbia River National Wildlife Refuge Complexes in Washington State this summer.
