description

Summary

Using a towing shackle, Cpl. Nicholas Orwig, 444th Chemical Company, Illinois Army National Guard, guides TOW missile wire as an engine rewinds it at the Udairi Range near Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Nov. 27. Soldiers of Delta Company, 4th Battalion, 118th Infantry Regiment fired 16 missiles at the range, and 444th Chemical Company soldier Spc. Trent Trowbridge built the device so troops wouldn’t have to rewind the wire by hand. Based in Galesburg, Ill., the 444th Chemical Company deployed with the 4th Battalion, which has been performing security-force and camp operations missions in Northern Kuwait since April. Orwig is from Lewistown, Ill. and Trowbridge is from Knoxville, Ill. (U.S. Army photos by Sgt. 1st Class Raymond Drumsta)
