The U.S. Navy submarine tender USS Euryale (AS-22) underway at sea on 21 August 1944. She was based at Manus, Admirality Islands, from 28 May to 11 August 1944 and returned to Brisbane, Australia on 16 August 1944 to load passengers, torpedoes, ammunition and general cargo. She then proceeded to Fremantle, Australia, where she arrived on 28 August 1944.
