USS MAKIN ISLAND, Pacific Ocean (October 26, 2016) – Sgt. Corey Hart watches the video feed from a fiber optic bore sight camera being run inside of an M3 81mm mortar tube aboard the USS Makin Island (LHD 8) while afloat in the Pacific Ocean, October 26, 2016. While the bore sight fiber optic camera is placed inside the tube, a video feed is delivered back to a screen, where the operator can evaluate the interior appearance of the tube’s baseplate.
