View of Mount Ascutney from Little Studio
Summary
Aspet, Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park. The Little Studio was one of the first structures commissioned by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in the early 1900s. The barns that were utilized as studio space prior to this addition were not well-suited to the artistic activities of the sculptor and his visitors. The new buildings were visually linked to other existing structures and landscape features, echoing in classical style, applied sculpture, and a light facade color.
The Little Studio is one of the buildings at Aspet that is described on the National Register of Historic Places.
