Volcano House - Hawaii free images
Summary
Crater Rim Historic District. A contemporary look at the Volcano House. The split-level, wood frame structure has a low-sloped roof with unenclosed eves. A battered, exterior lava stone chimney greets visitors near the main entrance. It was built in 1941 after the previous Volcano House burned, located closer to the crater than its predecessor had been. Many parts of the Volcano House remain intact, helping reflect one of the earliest uses of the area by tourists.
