Volunteers from the 15th Wing participate in a Reveille
Summary
Volunteers from the 15th Wing participate in a Reveille Ceremony for Prisoners of War and Missing in Action Week, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Sept. 17, 2018. The ceremony was held to honor the sacrifices made by America's prisoners of war, those who are still missing in action and their families. From Sept. 17-21, events will be held throughout JBPHH as part of POW/MIA Recognition Week. The events include readings of the POW/MIA names, a reveille ceremony, beautification of POW/MIA memorial, information tables, sentinel posting, a 24-hour run, and ends on Friday with a POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu. Observances of National POW/MIA Recognition Day are held across the country on military installations, ships at sea, state capitals, schools and veterans facilities. It is traditionally observed on the third Friday in September each year. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Heather Redman)
