Summary

Print shows the Festival of the Supreme Being, inspired by Robespierre, planned by Jacques Louis David, to commemorate the second year of the Republic; a female figure, representing France, riding on a cart with objects of abundance around her, pulled by 6 bulls, is shown at the base of an artificial mountain, as a long procession of citizens makes their way to and up the mountain where, at top, a Liberty cap rises above the tree of liberty. To the left is a tall column with a statue of Hercules on top.
