What dog I hear you say, look again on the lap of the second lady from the right. ..The date is established as the 28th May 1900 - A total solar eclipse occurred on that day, Owen with evidence from other photos in the Catalogue has convinced me that this is the correct date. ..Niall agrees with Owen and suggests the following "Looking at this shot again in light of the eclipse photo, check the three standing at left. Edward Henry Churchill Crofton (white haired gent) is consulting a piece of paper - too small for a newspaper.
