Waves crash against sea caves, Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, 2014.
Summary
Also known as a 'littoral cave', a sea cave is formed primarily by the wave action of the sea. The primary process is erosion. They are found throughout the world, actively forming along coastlines and as relict sea caves on former coastline.
