Welch Cave Building on the Current River
Summary
Welch Cave Site, Ozark National Scenic Riverways. The building was constructed between 1935 and 1937 over Welch Cave for Dr. Christian H. Diehl. Prevailing evidence suggests that Dr. Diehl never formally instituted a medical practice at the site, which is located on the bank of the Current River in Shannon County, Missouri.
