Wichita, KS- Maj. Judee Cordell, commander of the 117th Medical Company Area Support, addresses her Soldiers and the audience for the first time during the unit’s activation ceremony held at the Heartland Preparedness Center in Wichita, Kansas, Nov. 2. The 117th MCAS is the first of its kind in the state of Kansas. Their mission is to provide force health protection to units within the area of operations, including medical treatment and evacuation in a deployed environment.
